One can hardly predict the exact time needed to implement such a system. The idea that ERP can be implemented within 3 to 4 months is not realistic – this would be enough only if the company is too small or if the system is just partially implemented.

The term of implementing such a system depends on a large number of factors. Some of them are:

	the complexity of the project
	the scale
	the resources granted by the client company
	Objectives set
	How dynamic is the system– does it have a system to manage dynamic properties, a document designer, a query builder, data taxonomy etc

Classical ERP systems, unlike the ordinary software, belongs to the so-called category of "heavy installation and setup” applications. It initially begins with basic functions which are then staged to the full set of modules.

The entire implementation of a system can take anywhere from several months to several years - usually is stands at 6 to 18 months.
